Preparing for CSCA: Clinical Medicine Applicants

Organize the subjects and records required for a Clinical Medicine undergraduate application.

Updated 7 October 2026UM International Consultant · Admissions editorial desk

Confirm your program combination

The 2026 HBU Clinical Medicine entry specifies STEM, Mathematics, Chemistry for the China Scholastic Competency Assessment. Record the exact subject combination before choosing a test sitting. Do not assume that the subjects for a law, pharmacy or engineering application are identical.

Plan backwards from an application date

Your preparation schedule should allow time for registration, study, the test and release of results. Check the applicable application period separately. The 2026 HBU window has closed; future applicants should wait for their intake’s schedule rather than reusing that deadline.

Keep academic documents consistent

Use the same passport spelling and identity details across the test registration and university application. Save the result record with your transcript and diploma. If your qualification uses a different grading system, include the grading scale so that individual subjects can be interpreted correctly.

Language preparation remains separate

A CSCA result does not replace HSK preparation for a Chinese-taught program. Clinical Medicine requires HSK 4 before major study. Organize academic assessment and language study as separate tasks within one application plan.
