If you intend to practise in Pakistan, review PM&DC’s foreign-study and student registration requirements before selecting a program. Admission abroad and eligibility for registration at home are connected decisions, but they are not identical.
FSc and MDCAT
FSc Pre-Medical or equivalent eligibility includes a minimum of 60% under the foreign-study criteria. A PM&DC notice dated 5 October 2026 exempts the mandatory MDCAT prerequisite for admission to foreign medical and dental institutions. Other applicable criteria remain separate.
Choose the actual program
“MBBS in China” is a common search term, but program names and languages vary. HBU’s 2026 program is Clinical Medicine, taught in Chinese over 6 years. Compare that pathway with your readiness to study and communicate in Chinese.
Prepare a complete application
HBU undergraduate applications require CSCA results and academic documents. For Clinical Medicine, the CSCA combination is STEM, Mathematics, Chemistry. HSK 4 is required before major study. Check documents well before an application deadline.
Build a realistic budget
Tuition is only part of the cost. Include daily accommodation charges, insurance, medical examination, residence-related fees, personal spending and travel. Use RMB values for university charges and check the exchange rate at the time of payment.
Visa and pre-departure
After admission, use the appropriate study documentation for the visa application. Verify current consular requirements for financial evidence and family documents. Keep copies of admission, passport and health records accessible while travelling.
Questions before committing
Ask about degree title, study language, tuition year, clinical training sites, internship, graduation conditions and licensing implications. Request written answers for matters that materially affect your study plan.
MDCAT prerequisite exemption
Pakistani students seeking admission to foreign medical and dental institutions are exempt from the mandatory MDCAT admission prerequisite. Academic eligibility, student registration, institution checks and later licensing requirements remain separate matters.
