An important stage of medical education
Internship allows students to connect theoretical understanding with supervised clinical work. For existing international Clinical Medicine cohorts at HBU, internship arrangements include departmental rotations and graduation assessment.
Attendance and assessment
Students are expected to follow internship rules, leave procedures and absence requirements. Assessment forms part of the graduation plan. Keep an accurate record of learning activities and any documents required by your academic team.
Safety and professional conduct
Patient safety, clinical operating standards and ethical responsibility are central to internship preparation. Students must work within their assigned responsibilities and seek supervision whenever they are uncertain.
Internship and overseas licensing
If you intend to practise outside China, confirm whether the planned internship meets that country’s requirements. Do not arrange a different placement without written academic approval and an understanding of the licensing implications.
