Program overview
Clinical Medicine is the formal program name for HBU’s undergraduate medical pathway in the 2026 international portfolio. It is a bachelor’s-level program taught in Chinese with a published duration of 6 years. The academic units are the School of Basic Medical Sciences / School of Clinical Medicine.
Language and academic preparation
Students must pass HSK 4 before entering major study. The general Chinese-taught admission threshold is HSK 4 with a score of at least 180. CSCA results are required for undergraduate application; Clinical Medicine specifies STEM, Mathematics, Chemistry. Ask how language preparation is scheduled within your individual study plan.
Medical learning
Medical study develops understanding of foundational science, disease, patient assessment and supervised clinical practice. The precise semester sequence, credit requirements and course syllabus should be obtained with the program study plan. This guide does not assign unconfirmed course hours or rotation lengths.
Internship and professional responsibility
International Clinical Medicine students undertake clinical internship preparation covering rotation arrangements, attendance, graduation assessment and clinical conduct. Training places strong emphasis on safety, professional ethics and occupational protection. Placement and supervision are determined through the academic plan.
Fees and application
The 2026 undergraduate medicine fee category is RMB 16,000 for tuition, with an application fee of RMB 600. Accommodation, insurance and other charges are separate. The published 2026 application period ran from 1 January to 31 May; future intake enquiries do not extend that deadline.
Clinical Medicine and MBBS terminology
International applicants often search for medical degrees using “MBBS in China.” For HBU applications, use the exact title Clinical Medicine and the verified language and duration. Do not assume the program is English-medium because an admissions service communicates in English.
Graduation and licensing
Completing the university’s academic requirements does not automatically confer medical registration abroad. Check the institution, program, entry conditions, internship and graduate examinations required in your intended country of practice before enrolling.
