Graduation is one stage
A medical degree records academic achievement. Permission to practise is granted through the relevant regulatory process in the country where you work. These processes can include qualification checks, examinations, language requirements and supervised practice.
Clinical practice and postgraduate study
Graduates may explore medical registration, further academic study or health-related research. Entry to each pathway depends on the receiving institution and regulator; admission to an undergraduate program is not a promise of a later training post.
Keep complete records
Retain transcripts, course descriptions, internship records and graduation documents. These may be needed for credential verification or postgraduate applications.
Plan before selecting a university
Check your intended country’s rules before enrolment. A medical-school directory listing, program accreditation, ECFMG eligibility and a national licence are different concepts and should be assessed separately.
