Questions to Ask Before Medical Enrolment in China

A useful conversation guide for understanding the academic and practical commitments of medical study.

Academic questions

Ask for the formal program and degree title, teaching language, duration and applicable curriculum. Clarify how language preparation fits within the study period, how assessments work and which conditions must be met before entering major or clinical study.

Clinical questions

Ask who approves the training placement, where supervision takes place and what records document internship completion. Hospital affiliation alone does not identify the rotation for every student. Request the plan applicable to your cohort.

Financial questions

Ask which academic year a fee applies to, what is included and how accommodation is billed. Separate tuition from insurance, residence procedures and personal spending. Clarify scholarship conditions without assuming that an award will be available.

Professional questions

Work backwards from the country where you intend to practise. Identify the medical regulator’s school, qualification, internship and examination requirements. Keep the written answers and supporting records so that your enrolment decision is based on a complete plan.
